rideshare drivers a gig economy need essential oils
Essential oils can pay off big, if you are a driver for Lyft, Uber, Juno, or any other rideshare company in the new gig economy. It’s important to keep your car smelling fresh and clean. Many common car air fresheners contain all kinds of ingredients that are unhealthy for you and your passengers to inhale. Not only that, they are expensive and they don’t last very long. But, there is a healthier, less expensive alternative.
First step is selecting an essential oil that smells great, but isn’t overpowering. If your unsure of a scent and want to try a variety, we recommend trying a bundle of six different scents. This way you can experiment and try different ones to see what ones give you the most positive response from your passengers.
The next step is to get some cotton make-up removal rounds. I found these at my local Wal-Mart for $0.88. Add 5-10 drops of your favorite essential oil on the cotton pad. Place the pad in an indiscriminate place in your vehicle, or you can clip it into one of your air vents, so the scent will circulate.
How to revive old air fresheners
If you have old pine tree air fresheners that have lost their scent, you can place your favorite essential oil on one of them instead of using make-up removal pads. Alternatively, if you have vent air fresheners that were filled with liquid, you can refill them from the back using a hypodermic needle for injecting lubricants into tight spaces.
You can find instructional videos on YouTube that show you how to inject your essential oils into the back of your exhausted, liquid filled air fresheners. Follow these easy instructions, and you’ll be one step closer to being a 5-Star rideshare driver and on the way to earning better and bigger tips.
